Pokemon Scarlet and Violet have announced upcoming July-August Tera Raid and Mass Outbreak events, including a special Pikachu the Unrivaled raid with a unique shield gimmick best countered by Grass-type attacks, as well as new powerful Seven-Star Tera Raids for Dondozo and Dragonite running from late July through early September.
Pokemon Scarlet and Violet have revealed the Tera Raid and Mass Outbreak events scheduled for July and August. The fan-favorite Pikachu the Unrivaled will make a return, accompanied by a Mass Outbreak event running from July 11 to 25. Additionally, two new powerful Seven-Star Tera Raids will feature the formidable Dondozo and Dragonite.
As the iconic mascot of the Pokemon franchise, Pikachu has been celebrated and commemorated in countless ways, from fan-made merchandise to its prominent role in the series. In Pokemon Scarlet and Violet, Pikachu can be found throughout the Paldea region, and a unique Tera-Water Pikachu variant appeared in one of the first Seven-Star Tera Raid battles in 2023. Pikachu the Unrivaled's signature gimmick involves starting the battle with a raid shield, making Grass-type attacks the key to overcoming this challenge.
Pokemon Scarlet and Violet players who missed out on the Pikachu the Unrivaled Tera Raid will soon have another chance. According to Serebii.net, the Seven-Star Tera Raid against this formidable Pikachu variant will be available from July 11 at 8:00 PM Eastern to July 24 at 7:59 PM Eastern. This extended event will also feature a Mass Outbreak showcasing Pichu, Pikachu, Mimikyu, and Raichu, with the Alolan Raichu portion marking the first time since Pokemon Ultra Sun and Ultra Moon that players can capture this regional form.
Following the Pikachu the Unrivaled raids, another Seven-Star Tera Raid event against a Water-Tera Dondozo will run from July 25 to August 7. This will be accompanied by a Tatsugiri Outbreak event, providing players with additional challenges and opportunities to test their skills against these powerful Pokemon.
