Alfred had been great up until about a week ago. And I got a message saying if you want to replay the videos you need to pay to upgrade. So I deleted the app. But when I check this week There was a message there clearly saying the app is free. So I uploaded the app again. But the same thing is happening. There's not much point in downloading the app if I can't replay the videos.

I used to like this app. The problem with it now is I've gone from five stars to two stores because it used to allow me to play back video for at least a small amount of time and now you can't play them back at all unless you upgrade. I would have upgraded , but now I'm going to use a different free security app. Features not the same now that I've needed it again.

Was definitely 5 stars when I started using the app. Now not even worth installing unless your will to cough up the cash. Not enough money in the over top amount of ads I guess. Will be looking for a new cheaper option for my needs. Alfred might want to update your description, take "free" out of there.

Nagging ads are completely out of hand now, the free plan now requires you to download the recording to your viewer device which is ridiculous considering that only a few months ago they started storing the recordings locally on your camera device, so now I need to download a clip stored locally on my camera device to my viewer device, I'm done, just ordered 4 Blink Mini 2s, a Video Doorbell and a Sync Module 2

I just needed this to basic motion detection and event viewing which was available on the free version. Now they turned the event viewing to premium version. Not useful anymore for me. Looking for alternatives now. Recycling old phones was cool and free but now buying ONCE a proper cheap camera with more useful FREE functions makes more sense than paying Alfred's premium MONTHLY fee. I got this cause I have a roommate from hell who keeps stealing my food and having freak outs. So I set up a old phone in the kitchen to catch them doing it. This app worked bomb but you do have to pay for the full range of features, but it's cheap and honestly worth it for how easy it is to use. It also records audio!

Excellent way to utilize old phones instead of throwing them away. Tip: if your camera phone keeps going offline, enable developer options and switch on keep phone awake when plugged into power source. Also check the phones periodically for a swelling battery. Use a phone with a user-replaceable battery if you can. You can find them and replacement batteries on eBay.

I was seriously considering to use the premium service. However, time and time again, when I have to leave ny dog and setup the ipad camera it ALWAYS gets stucked on CONNECTING. Mind you, the ipad can view all other online apps (youtube, chrome, etc). So NO, waste of time, and will be waste of money for being unreliable.

Love this app! As long as you have a secure wifi connection and have the option for camera to start up turned on in settings. Also love that it records movement if I have that option turned and that I can add more than one device and even share online live recording with someone else I trust. All on the free version! Thanks Alfred Camera Home Security for making me feel easier about leaving my home for the day:)
