Great app overall, since there's no bug report option in the app, so I'm posting here. The iOS UI is basic compared to Android's, which is fantastic. When completing a lesson on iPhone at night, the night chest isn't available on my Android device the next morning. This seems to be a syncing issue. Additionally, the Russian language voices for English speakers are fewer than in other languages (like french which there are several women, men voices),we also need stories in Russian course

Not sure when the last update happened, but I know my app is current. However, since before last weekend, the app is malfunctioning and I am at risk of losing a very large daily streak - over 1100 days!! When doing lessons-they are expanding beyond the screen of my phone (Samsung 23+) &I end up getting errors as I cannot see the sentences/type or pick words at the same time. When I shrink it down, it keeps hitting the check button and I am being marked as wrong when it is not my fault.

Been using it for many years with several different languages. The last update introduced bumped me up to the last level on my current language, skipping a whole section! I'm now in the "daily practice mode" and I hate it! You only have a handful of classes to complete daily and afterwards you can't practice anything else. The classes repeated are usually pretty much the same ones, which are quite basic, and both my predictive text and me already know them by heart. It's actually demotivating...

I love Duolingo because I am already learning a lot of Japanese but it got so much harder once I started to learn with desu, meaning it's. In Japanese, desu goes at the end and in English, it goes in the front, you can't rearrange the words once you put them in, so I can't put desu in without taking everything out. Duolingo, if you are reading this, then can you please change that, everything else is amazing, it runs smoothly, the lessons are great, and I'm learning a lot, but please change that

The ads are a horrid waste for valuable practicing time. The app is repetitive, but that helps reinforce things. I just wish there was more variety than the exact same sentences previously learned especially in the lightning rounds (which btw are nearly impossible to score high because so much time is wasted typing). Actually, My biggest complaint is how each section will dump 10+ new words that all look alike all at once. Not helpful! Why not introduce them slowly?

Better for some languages than others. It's not that I'm not learning. I'm picking up vocabulary and some very basic phrases after over a year. But some of the seemingly wildly random sentences or phrases thrown at you, with little or no context or building into that wild sentence. It doesn't truly facilitate learning a language, so much as memorizing a sentence or phrase. Which still wouldn't be so bad in a FREE app (you get what you pay for) if the phrase had any common real world usage.

Great app. Sometimes, the vocals aren't very clear, and other times, it isn't explained very well, which is frustrating. My only other complaint is when native speakers of the language you are attempting to learn get on the leaderboards and demolish everyone. Kind of silly, but apparently, these people are so desperate to win at anything in life that they consider their actions as an actual achievement? I'm not impressed.

App is okay. However, the audio is not well suited for people with hearing problems making things very difficult to understand. The audio is too fast and un clear even when I have my hearing aids in. Also more language suited for basic conversation around the house with the family would be helpful for practice. Edit: app needs an option to turn off streaks it is doing more harm than good. With learning disabilities, I find myself focusing on the streak instead of learning the language. 1 ⭐

Duolingo is fantastic for language learning, but I suggest an option to turn off the league feature. While it's meant to add a competitive edge, it distracts from regular practice and learning goals. Focusing on earning points through specific challenges isn't as helpful for my progress. An option to disable the league would let users concentrate on consistent learning without added pressure. Thanks for considering this!
